Precious Metal Accounts

This service is offered by CCPI Europe Ltd to Customers with a high use of precious metals in their thermocouple assemblies, a typical example would be a Triplex Profile thermocouple as used in the Forehearth of a typical Glassworks.

When a thermocouple has completed its serviceable life the precious metal contained within the assembly is removed, assayed & refined and the resulting metal is placed into the account.

This account can then be utilised in the following ways:

  • Held against current or future Purchase Orders.
  • Sold at current market prices with a cheque sent for the value.
  • Transferred to another Metal Account.

The main advantage of a Precious Metal Account is that the considerable expenditure on these types of thermocouple can be isolated from market price fluctuations. This has the added benefit of more accurate budgeting of Precious Metal thermocouple costs.
